Three of Southwest Florida’s nine acute-care hospitals are close to capacity for ICU beds for adults due to the growing number of COVID-19 patients. Cape Coral Hospital (Naples, FL), a Physicians Regional Healthcare System, and Lehigh Regional Medical Center (Lehigh Acres, FL) had full ICUs this week, according to the Florida Agency for Health Care Administration’s daily bed tracker. Lee Health (Fort Myers, FL) and NCH Healthcare System have also seen steadily increasing numbers of patients who have been isolated for the virus. Read more.
