Sarnova, parent company to Tri-anim Health Services, Bound Tree Medical, DXE Medical and Emergency Medical Products, brought together sales and marketing teams from five different companies for four and a half days of education, networking and inspiration this summer at its National Sales Meeting.
The meeting in Columbus, Ohio, was the largest in the company’s history, with 423 attendees, including 155 vendor exhibitor attendees from 62 different companies and 268 Sarnova employees from all departments, including sales, marketing, pricing, operations, customer service and more.
The theme of the meeting – “Be the Best” – was woven into all presentations and events, and was intended to reflect the four-point mission of the Dublin, Ohio-based specialty medical sales and distribution company:
- For customers: Being the best at providing products and services to those who help save lives and care for patients.
- For vendors: Being the best advocate for vendor partners’ therapies and treatments.
- For performance: Delivering the best operating and financial performance in the industry.
- For employees: Providing the best opportunities in the industry for employees to learn, excel and prosper.
“Healthcare organizations are focused on positive outcomes, patient satisfaction and reduction in cost of care,” said President and CEO Jeff Prestel. “As such, not only do our account managers have to sell the clinical benefits of products and therapies to clinicians and healthcare providers, but they also must address lowering the total cost of care to purchasing departments and other budget influencers.”
Sales awards were given out to all sales and marketing teams across Sarnova:
- Top Account Manager of the Year (Bound Tree and Tri-anim)
- Top Regional Manager of the Year (Bound Tree and Tri-anim)
- Rookie of the Year (Bound Tree and Tri-anim)
- The Craig Ziegelbein Award for Tri-anim
- Sarnova’s President Club
- Sarnova’s Incentive Trip (25 spots awarded to top account managers across Sarnova)
As in past years, vendor sponsorship and participation was instrumental in the success of the meeting, which allowed for breakout education and training sessions on new and existing products, according to the company. Separate vendor fairs were held for Bound Tree and Tri-anim. Combined, there were 67 booths. Other events included: FY 16 Sales Direction breakfasts with the vice presidents of sales for all companies, internal departmental breakouts, large- and small-group trainings and other sales sessions.
