Pam Wedow joins IMCO Home Care
Pam Wedow has been named vice president of IMCO Home Care, a group purchasing organization exclusively for the independent home care dealer and provider. Prior to joining IMCO, Wedow spent 14 years with the Palm Tree Group, for whom she started the Invatec overstock trading program, and later served as vice president and general manager of Optimal Master Distribution. Prior to Palm Tree Group, she held leadership positions in operations, marketing, vendor relations, contract management and sales for companies including PSS, Gulf South Medical Supply and The James Phillips Company. Wedow is 2013-14 Chair of Professional Women in Healthcare, and is a founding member of PWH.
Welch Allyn names Janie Goddard as EVP, strategic business units and marketing
Welch Allyn named Janie Goddard as EVP, strategic business units and marketing. In this role, Goddard will have responsibility as both senior business executive over the company’s four strategic business units and their P&L’s, and as corporate marketing leader. Her responsibilities will include Welch Allyn’s corporate and global product roadmap, market research, clinical, corporate communications, and brand management. Goddard most recently served as VP, sales and marketing for one of Covidien’s new businesses.
Cardinal Health names David J Anderson to board
Cardinal Health’s board of directors named David J. Anderson as an independent director effective April 25, 2014. He will also serve on the board’s audit committee. Anderson most recently served as SVP and CFO of Honeywell International until the announcement of his retirement on April 7, 2014.
Medical Specialties Distributors names new VP of sales, MSD Oncology
Medical Specialties Distributors LLC (MSD) named Matt Mitchell as VP of sales, MSD Oncology. In this role, Mitchell will lead all sales for MSD Oncology and its portfolio of products and services exclusively for oncology. His specific responsibilities include oversight and direction of the oncology field sales team, continued expansion of the MSD Oncology brand throughout the U.S., and driving increased sales and profitability for MSD Oncology. Mitchell previously served as VP of sales for Zyno Medical.
McKesson launches Managed Mobile Services
McKesson Corp launched Managed Mobile Services, which helps hospitals and other healthcare providers streamline and secure their network of in-house mobile environments. Service subscribers can establish governance of personal and corporate smart phones, tablets, laptops and other devices using a single, real-time, web-based console. Managed Mobile Services can be used in connection with either a healthcare provider’s bring-your-own-device (BYOD) strategy or a corporate-owned device strategy. The service is part of McKesson’s Better Health 2020™ strategy, which helps organizations reduce costs, optimize performance, ensure quality, coordinate care, and navigate complex patient models.
