Repertoire: What do you offer your distributor rep partners to enhance their sales?
Peragallo: First and foremost, my job is to make the distributor representatives’ lives as easy as possible. Not only do I do my best to close all leads sent my way, I also strive to be an expert on our equipment so that I am able to tackle all sales and service-related calls. My goal is to be a one-stop-shop, where doctors and representatives can go and feel confident knowing that I will solve whatever requests they may have. Secondly, I provide my distributor representatives with reliability. I am always there to help no matter what is needed, whether it’s with demos, training, customer service, etc. I make it a point to answer the phone and respond to emails in a very timely manner so that no one is kept waiting. I always go out of my way to ensure the needs of both the doctor and distributor representative are met.
Repertoire: How can your distributor rep partners help you add value to your accounts?
Peragallo: My distributor partners are the single most important asset I have in the field. Not only do they get me in the door, they provide me with valuable insight about individual accounts. They are the feet on the ground and the reason we have incredible success in the New Jersey/Philadelphia market. While there’s only one of me, there are a large number of dedicated representatives upon whom I rely greatly to help promote the Burdick/Mortara/Quinton lines. I am very thankful to have such hard-working counterparts.
Repertoire: What is the biggest change you anticipate in medical product sales in the next several years?
Peragallo: The biggest change that I anticipate encountering in the next several years is navigating the way in which medical information is shared, with the goal of optimizing patients’ well-being. We are already seeing this push across healthcare toward increased and improved information sharing. With advances in technology, it should only continue to improve. I foresee all related offices and hospitals networked together in order to access the essential information needed to best manage the patient. I am fortunate to work for a company that shares this philosophy – a pioneer of DICOM® communications, with ECG, stress, Holter, patient monitoring and other devices, in order to make this vision come to life.
