Retina-X Studios, LLC announced the PhoneSheriff Investigator Edition for monitoring iOS devices. The software enables parents to monitor their child’s incoming and outgoing text messages, iMessages and call information from iPhone or iPad. Whereas monitoring software for iPhone and iPad devices typically require a jailbreak app, no app is required (either on the parent’s or the child’s device) in order to enable the PhoneSheriff. Rather, the system relies on a few Cloud settings and a small computer application. Once parents install the small computer application and insert their Apple ID and password, they can view the complete contents of SMS text messages and iMessages, call histories, photos, GPS location, contacts, notes and more. The Apple ID and password are never sent back to the developer. The PhoneSheriff Investigator application is available for Windows computers running Windows Vista, Windows 7 or Windows 8. A Mac OS version of the application is currently in development and will be released in the coming months.
