Henry Schein, Inc. hosted its annual Medical National Sales Meeting this spring at Gaylord Texan Resort & Convention Center in Dallas, Texas. The meeting brought together more than 1,400 attendees, including 600 supplier partners and 200 exhibitors. The theme of this year’s meeting was “Soar With Us.” The meeting featured presentations by Henry Schein executives, as well as breakout sessions, educational seminars and a supplier exhibit.
The company awarded the inaugural Henry Schein Cares Medal to Hands Up for Haiti (HUFH), a medical humanitarian organization committed to making a sustainable and positive impact on the health of the people of northern Haiti. Henry Schein Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer Stanley M. Bergman presented the award, which will be given annually to an organization that demonstrates excellence in expanding access to medical care for the underserved.
“This year’s meeting is an opportunity to celebrate our market-leading team-selling strategy that has helped Henry Schein Medical continue to evolve in this rapidly changing marketplace,” said Dave McKinley, president, Henry Schein Medical. “In order for us to ‘soar,’ we need to have individual will power, the willingness to share and the ability to keep a positive forward motion. Thank you for your trust and commitment to the company, as well as for carrying the true spirit of Team Schein by helping customers enhance access to care.”
During the meeting, Henry Schein and its supplier partners helped donate products and supplies to Parker County Hospital District Health Center (Weatherford, Texas), valued at more than $18,000. In addition, Team Schein raised more than $4,000 for Henry Schein Cares, the company’s global corporate social responsibility program, which will contribute to programs supported by Henry Schein Cares and the Henry Schein Cares Foundation, including the 2016 Healthy Lifestyles, Healthy Communities program.
