July 31, 2026- Medicare reimbursements to skilled nursing facilities will rise 2.4% in fiscal 2027 under a final rule the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services published Wednesday, according to McKnights Long-Term Care News. The rule will eventually increase reporting for nursing homes, and ensures about $882.74 million more in traditional Medicare payments to nursing homes next fiscal year, an increase that was calculated based on a 3.3% inflation measure and 0.9% productivity deduction.
