April 17, 2025- Trump has increased U.S. levies on select goods from China by up to 245% after several rounds of back-and-forth measures with Beijing in recent weeks. China last week imposed additional duties on imports from the U.S. of up to 125%, according to CNBC. Tariffs remain in place for China, which produces medical supplies hospitals use each day, according to Chief Healthcare Executive. The tariffs include medical supplies and devices, with more tariffs on pharmaceuticals coming “very shortly.”
