Cardinal Health expands home care business with two tuck-in acquisitions
Cardinal Health announced it has entered into two definitive agreements that accelerate its at-Home Solutions’ growth strategy. Cardinal Health will acquire the Diabetes Health business of AdaptHealth Corp., and, in its entirety, Strive Medical, a multi-specialty supply provider with a focus on urology. Combined, the transactions total approximately $360 million in cash, subject to working capital adjustments.
Both agreements enhance the framework established by Cardinal Health’s most recent acquisition of Advanced Diabetes Supply (ADS). The company recently highlighted the progress of its at-Home Solutions business one year after its acquisition of ADS, including integration achievements that were realized ahead of plan. Since closing the original ADS transaction, the team successfully migrated all ADS volume onto the at-Home Solutions efficient and technology-enabled distribution network, onboarded nearly 500,000 new customers, and launched ContinuCare Pathway, a unique pharmacy-to-supplier digital referral pathway program.
Medline rebuilds California distribution capacity with new Perris facility following fire
Medline has announced plans to open a new distribution center in Perris, Calif. The approximately 1 million-square-foot facility represents another company investment in its California and overall distribution network, adding capacity and operational flexibility to support healthcare providers across the state.
This expansion comes as Medline continues its recovery and customer-support efforts following the June 11 fire at its Tracy, Calif., distribution center. On July 6, Medline announced that it secured more than 1.6 million square feet of new distribution space in Northern California, reflecting the company’s continued focus on maintaining service for healthcare providers across the state. Between this announcement and the addition of Perris, Medline’s California distribution center footprint is expected to reach nearly 5 million square feet by mid-2027. These new facilities are expected to house many of the same technologies already in use at other Medline facilities.
Midmark celebrates Glasgow facility renovation
Midmark Corp. announced the completion of a recent renovation of its Glasgow, Kentucky, facility that reflects Midmark’s continued investment in its teammates, the operation that supports products used in care environments across the country and the Glasgow community that has been part of the site’s story for decades.
The renovation was designed to enhance the teammate experience, create a more welcoming environment for visitors and better support the work taking place in Glasgow. The Glasgow facility manufactures solid-surface countertops for medical environments in addition to other products for the dental and veterinary industry. Improvements included refreshed interior and exterior spaces, new signage, expanded teammate amenities, updated conference rooms, technology upgrades and a new entrance.
