June 16, 2025- Intermountain Park City Hospital broke ground on Thursday for a major addition to its facilities that includes a state-of-the-art cancer center, along with expansion of the emergency department and surgical services. These additions will help ensure the hospital can continue to meet the needs of a growing population, along with the millions of tourists who visit every year.
The new Intermountain Health cancer center will span 10,800 square feet and bring vital services like medical oncology, a state-of-the-art linear accelerator for radiation treatment, and 18 infusion bays.
Previously, patients had to travel to outside the Wasatch Back to receive those services, and now it’s close to home. The new cancer center will be able to treat 90 percent of the cancer cases along the Wasatch Back and serve up to 1,500 patients annually.
